BRIDGE offers teachers and students several opportunities for learning and exchanging ideas. The project leads to the creation of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) and a practical toolkit, covering non-violent communication techniques, structured dialogue methods, and fact-checking strategies. While the MOOC serves as a foundational learning tool for teachers, the toolkit consists of lesson plans, structured dialogue methods, classroom exercises, and facilitation guides that teachers can use to moderate discussions on sensitive societal and political topics. These learning materials aim to turn state-of-the-art research and methodologies into interactive, engaging, and digital learning experiences.

As part of the project, the consortium has organized a “Train-the-Teacher” course specifically designed to enhance interaction, discussion, and hands-on engagement with the methodologies introduced in the MOOC. The course brings together experts in democratic education and intercultural communication, as well as teachers from the two secondary schools involved. It includes interactive workshops, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and role-playing exercises, increasing their ability to facilitate classroom discussions on complex, often polarized topics. This series of activities, which combines online and in-person interactions, allows project partners to test materials and methods based on real classroom experiences and receive feedback from both teachers and students. Following the refinement of all educational materials, a flexible and adaptable MOOC is made available to maximize impact and lay the basis for scaling up the lessons learned.
